Recent ActivityThe John Burroughs Philosophy Club (for all grades 7-12) was formed by students who simply wanted to discuss life's questions, thus "forcing" their own freedom from concepts and notions. The club aims to discuss several individuals' responses to the questions, including Socrates, Aristotle, Plato, Hume, Descartes, Locke, and so on. The main goal, though, is to discover our own thoughts and delve deeper into our mind and spirit.

Group Links  Nice site for inspiring discussion:philosopher.orgThis site is an overview of other groups who hold philosophical discussions such as socrates cafes. Look to the sidebar for philosophical interests. The society was started by Christopher Phillips, whose book Socrates Cafe is a great inspiration. Philosophy newspaper (weekly)You can only access the articles w/o padlocks, but the very first sidebar has some good links to articles called "dear socrates", "editorial", and "mroal moments."
